First time back

I think it is appropriate that this week my first shoot outdoors since the accident was with Ari and my wife. The park is near our home and parking not too far away from parking. My wife found this place when she was doing some donations. It is never muddy so the worries about slipping were minimal.
I felt strong enough to carry my R5 with 100-500mm. The boot is off but I was wearing a brace instead which fits inside my shoe. A cane was still needed because I was walking on uneven ground for the first time. This made me nervous but I was very careful. My PT had told me that it was time so we gave it a try. I kept thinking I was going to have to say we couldn’t do it, but that fortunately never happened.
My wife was kind enough to carry my camera to the bench where I sat and took these photographs. As usual Ari had a ball running around chasing balls. He still hasn’t figured out that it is supposed to be fetch. I suppose that is this way of making my wife walk around as well. Maybe fetch will become a thing as Ari gets older.
