Waiting

I spend time looking through and formatting images when the weather is bad. This happens more and more at this time of year when we have rain and wind. My goal in looking is to find images that I took but missed going through the first time. Often these are images that tell a story with emotional impact that will hit me. This image today is one of those.

We got a puppy Ari this year who you have seen as he as proceeded to grow during the year. He is deeply attached to both of us and often expresses frustration when I am working and cannot be upstairs. Mostly because he gets into things. He chews on things or grabs one of my dirty socks and goes running around the upstairs. For this reason we have a gate.

Initially he was able to get through the hole in the gate that we have for our three cats. As he grew it got harder and harder for him to do that. On this day he could not do it anymore. You can see the sadness is his eyes here.
