Song Sparrow Pause
November 28th, 2022
I was very focused on taking pictures of a Wilson’s Snipe when I heard the sounds of a song sparrow behind me. The Wilson Snipe dashed behind a bush and I was resolved to wait for the bird to come out when I happened to spot a song sparrow behind me.
The bird was perched near food on a bush. The wonderful pattern of red branches caught my eye. I was glad I looked as the bird proceeded to flit about the branches in front of me. Most of the time, song sparrows don’t stick around and offer a fleeting glimpse of them before disappearing. This one was different this time and stuck around for quite a while.
A good reminder of the general rule of looking around from time to time while I am shooting. It is important to keep looking for different angles and opportunities. The result is these eye catching images that I have here
