Kingfisher Flight

I have seen this female kingfisher many times over the years. She is extremely fast and small. The bird often flies very far away where all I could do is admire her. On other days the light would be too low to capture more than a blur of motion. And then there were the days I could not find her in the view finder.
On this day the light was good, she came in close, and my tracking skills were up to the task of catching her in flight. Here are a series of shots I captured of her flying
Kingfishers hover in the air looking for food and then do a dive. On this same day I was lucky to capture her hovering several times and diving for food. I was not able to get her hitting the water but something for another time.
The kingfisher hovered and dove another time which is also worth sharing.
