Flight and Bath

I had a rare day of beautiful light where the sun came out with thin clouds. The result was wonderful but contrasty light. This can create some challenges in terms of details under the wings as shown in the first 3 images but worth it. So I went out to take advantage of the day hoping that I would get the bald eagles to cooperate. I was not disappointed. At one point an eagle caught and consumed a fish. After eating the fish, the bald eagle typically flies to a nearby location to wash. The bird didn’t disappoint. I got several shots of this bird flying in and then washing in the water. When the bird was done, he/she flew off.
