Feeding Time

We went out in the afternoon today as well today. Our trek into Yellowstone Park started around 3 hours before sunset when the light was still pretty harsh on a bring sunny day. We did this to allow enough time to get into better light around when we reached the Lamar Valley. This was a successful strategy because we reached an area with babies right around the perfect light time around 6pm. There we were rewarded with a good place to pull over and a herd with small babies. Here you see a young one butting head against the mother to bring the milk down for nursing.
