Eagle and Marsh Wren
May 24th, 2026
Got out this morning and the first thing we saw was a bald eagle that was sitting on a wood pylon. As we approached the eagle launched and I got some almost completely full frame shots of this bird flying off. Nice start to the morning.
The next bird was a tree swallow perched on an old tree. Was cool to see the bird singing. He was definitely happy with all the bugs flying around. Practically a cloud of bugs went along with us the whole hike. They were not bothering us much but they were annoying. Part of the price of being out and seeing the birds.
Our next visitor was a marsh wren who settled long enough for me to get shots of him. He was visible but flitted around for a while until a magic perch which he decided to stay on for long enough to get the shots here.
The sight was a robin as we started walking back towards car. He stayed on his perch and checked us over.
