Coot Meal

I got out early this morning to see if I could capture an eagle catching and carrying a meal. I usually make several attempts every week but on this particular week I came up with nothing. The eagles seemed content to stay in the nearby trees while I was there.
On this morning the sky was mostly clear with a thin layer of cloud which offered wonderful filtered light. This kind of light is wonderful to photograph bird under. The light remained well into the morning until lunch time.
One eagle caught a coot off in the far distance. The bird then proceeded to carry the coot prize to a nearby platform to consume the meal. The resulting images show the eagle and the birds prize clearly as well as the process of consuming the bird on the platform.
