Moose Morning
October 16th, 2024
We traveled all the way to the eastern gate of Yellowstone this morning. Lots of driving with lots of Bison which is great but we would looking to see what else we could find. Lots of driving scanning the sides of the road with nothing to show for it. As we drew close to the meadows of Soda Butte, we found something unexpected, a male moose.
Marcia quickly pulled over the truck in a pull out and I struggled to the other side of the truck. All these were shot hand held because there was simply no time to get out and take photographs with the tripod. After an initial burst, I struggled out with the tripod and shot more as the moose proceeded along the grass. The light was very dim so this one was processed with DXO PureRaw to remove the noise.
