Yellowstone in Winter

I was struck by the beauty of Yellowstone with the addition of snow and the beautiful skies. I have been to the park several times, but have never been there before during winter. The snow and cold fundamentally changed what I saw and photograph. Now the snow added a fourth element to the combination of trees, rocks and sky
While I was on my drives within Yellowstone National Park, the animals were not always visible. It took several hours each day to get to the locations where the animals were appearing this year. There were also pauses when the animal would be obscured or not doing photogenic things so I often had my second body with me with a 24-105 lens to take pictures of the surrounding area around me.
