Wilson’s Snipe

December 9th, 2022

It has been a couple of weeks of lots of different kinds of weather. We have had freezing weather in the morning and more temperate weather in the afternoons. This has offered me many different kinds of shooting opportunities. It is amazing how different the images of a particular bird have been based upon time of day and the kind of weather.

I was struck by the different ways in which I was able to capture a particular Wilson’s Snipe. This bird often appears in the same spot. This requires some patience and luck to find this bird when you are there. Mostly it is a matter of going to a particular location and waiting for the bird to appear. Even harder for the bird to appear in a pleasing location.
